1. 1. WHEN is this story taking place?  (Look at the timeline at this website to get an idea of the overall story).

   2. WHO are the main characters in the story?  How important are these characters in God’s Great Salvation Story

      1. Are there any clues in the story that tell us what the author wanted the original to understand about the characters and events in the story?

   3. WHERE is this story taking place?  If you don’t know much about the place and you think it is important, you can check a Bible dictionary

      1. Are there any clues that the PLACE is important?

   4. What do you think the original readers were feeling as they read about the characters in the story? What did they understand?

   5. Does the writer specifically in some way tell us about God?
