Some Scripture Prayers
1 EPHESIANS 3:16-19 Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches you would strengthen ___________ with power through Your Spirit, so that Christ may dwell in ___________ ‘s heart through faith. And I pray that ___________ would be rooted and established in love. Please let ___________ ___________ have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is Your love in Christ and may ___________ know this love that surpasses knowledge- that (s)he may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of You.
2 COLOSSIANS 1:9-12 Father, thank you for ___________ . I ask that You would fill ___________ with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. May ___________ bear fruit in every good work. Increase ___________ ‘s knowledge of You. 12 PROVERBS 3:5-6 Help ___________ to trust in You with all of ___________’s heart and not to lean on ___________’s own understand. In all ___________’s ways let ___________ acknowledge you and please make the paths straight.
13 PHILIPPIANS 1:9-11 I pray that ___________’s love will keep on growing more and more, together with true knowledge and perfect judgement, so that ___________ will be able to choose what is best. I pray that ___________ will be free from all impurity and blame on the Day of Christ. I pray that ___________’S life will be filled with the truly good qualities which only Jesus Christ can produce, for the glory and praise of God.
14 1 Peter 3:7 Praying for a man who is married: I pray that __________ will live with his wife with the proper understanding that she is weaker than he is. I pray that he will treat her with respect, and he will realize that she also will receive, together with him, God’s gift of life. Help him to realize he must do this so that nothing will interfere with his prayers.
15 EPHESIANS 5:25-27 Praying for a man who is married: I pray that _____________ will love his wife as You, Lord Jesus, also loved the Church. I pray that he will live to present her to You in all her spiritual beauty, pure and faultless, without spot or wrinkle or any other imperfection through Your gospel. I pray that he will love her as he loves his own body. I pray he will nourish and cherish her and take care of her the way You, Lord, take care of Your church.
